FAQ’s

What should I do after an accident?  If you or a family member is a victim of a motor vehicle accident, slip and fall, product defect, or other personal injury, get medical help immediately.  As soon as possible, after receiving the necessary medical attention, you should contact an attorney.  Do not sign any settlement documents with another party or insurance company until they are reviewed by an attorney.  The only way to obtain a fair settlement with an insurance company is to have an attorney by your side who understands the ins and outs of the system, the complex laws of Washington State and who has your best interest in mind.

What is the Statute of Limitations in Washington/How long do I have to file a claim? Three years.  RCW 4.16.080

Why should I hire an attorney for a car accident/personal injury? Insurance companies’ greatest profits come from the minimized compensation they give to their customers for their auto accident injuries.  As your attorney, our interests are aligned with you.

How much is the initial consultation?  Free.

What happens at an initial consultation?  An initial consultation will allow the attorney to ask you the right questions and let you know in a straightforward, honest manner if you have a case which our office will take.  It also allows you, as the potential client, to ask any questions regarding your legal rights and options.

How much will it cost me to pursue my case?  We work with our clients on personal injuries on a contingency basis.  This means we only receive compensation for our legal fees if your case is successful, either through settlement or judgment.  You will be responsible for all out-of-pocket costs, including photocopies, fax charges, etc.

How long will it take to resolve my case?  Generally, your case should take less than a year to resolve.  Unfortunately, there can be extenuating circumstances which cause the case to go beyond a year.  Our office will do our best to resolve your case in the shortest time possible.
